    Rear axle nut

I'm assembling a tool kit for a CDR attack this summer. The rear axle nut is 27 mm and requires 90 ft. Lbs of torque. Have any of you hard core adv types come across a 27 mm closed end wrench that isn't 15 inches long and heavy. I was thinking of the motion Pro T6 but I'm not sure it's really up...

    Brake snake

Has anybody tried brake snakes (otherwise known as brake/shifter lever savers) on their ST? If so, how did you install them given that there is no frame rails under the engine to attach the inboard end of the snake to.

    Bead buster

Has anyone tried one of these? The demo videos mostly feature atv tires, but there are a few positive comments from cycle owners. The xb450 model seems like a reasonably compact and possibly effective solution for tire changes. The website is, you guessed it...Beadbuster.com.

    Mitas on the CDR

Folks, some buddies and I are planning to ride the Continental Divide route next June. I'm looking for feedback from anyone who has used the Mitas E07s or E10s on the CDR. Another possibility I am pondering is the Michelin Anakee Wild. Again, any reviews appreciated.

Denali split, dualtone horn and Altrider crashbars

I know there are a few folks who have STs with Altrider crash bars and have fitted the above horn system. I gather from research that the compressor is mounted using a bike specific bracket directly to the engine with a couple of new bolts. Where does the horn part get mounted? Pictures would be...

    Mitas E07 140

Has anyone tried 140s on their ST. I believe they have the same load rating as the 150s, but no centre rib. Please confirm whether there is in fact no centre rib. Thanks.

    Mitas e07 mods

Has anyone tried carving out the rear tire centre rib with a Dremel tool or otherwise to enhance off road performance? I believe past generations of the tire did not have the continuous centre rib, which is presumably there to add longevity or perhaps increase on road high speed stability.

Alt rider rear rack and Givi Trekker outback 42 litre trunk and Yammy side cases

Before I bought the above rack and trunk I thought that I would not be able to open the Yamaha side cases with the trunk in place. I am pleased to report that i can indeed open both side cases while just clearing the trunk which definitely makes for less side of the road fussing about. For...

OEM side cases, Altrider luggage rack and Givi Trekker 46l top case

Does anyone have the above combination? I am considering the Altrider rack and the above top box but am concerned that I won't be able to open the OEM panniers with the givi top box in place.

    Replacing stock electrical outlet

On my past bikes including a 2012 Tiger Explorer I have used a BMW style power outlet usually unswitched so I could charge the battery or operate accessories (eg tire pump) without the ignition on. Has any one simply removed the stock outlet a wired a Euro outlet directly to the battery (fused...
