Tenere vs Tracer (FJ09) Did the new Yam stand a chance?

I'm probably going to trade my Street Triple for an FJ. I like the Triumph a lot but want more room and a more upright riding position. The FJ will give me both without having to give up a triple. ::018::

    Need to upgrade Passenger Seat

Both the rider and passenger seats are wider and flatter than stock. As long as you buy new there shouldn't be any leveling needed. If you buy used, get a Gen 2 or later.

    Need to upgrade Passenger Seat

If you liked the Sargent on your FJR, you should like the Sargent for the S10. I had one on my FJR and like the Gen-2 model for the S10. The color matched welt looks primo.

    Aftermarket exhaust, regret?

I have the LeoVince carbon slip-on and am very satisfied but I don't know if it's available in the US any longer.

    Matte Gray Paint Care

I use the Honda Spray Cleaner/Polish also known as "The Original" on my Matte Graphite Street Triple. It works great leaving a slight gloss but no real shine. It beads moisture too.

    FJ-09 First Review

I think that for the first time in my life I'll be owning 2 bikes from the same manufacturer. Unless something more exciting comes along in the next couple of months, I'll be trading the Street Triple for the FJ-09. ::018::

    Keep snapping bolts

Hello 11427, 11757 here. I have the Motech rack with their adapter plate to mount either my 40 or 50 liter Hepco Becker trunk. No problems, so far. But, I generally don't ride with the trunk full. I use it to store my helmet, jacket and gloves when I stop and to carry a few extra clothing...

Dynojet Power Commander Fuel Controller PCFC YAM Super Tenere 11-14 P/N FC22041

Why would anyone want a Power Commander V when this is half the price and appears to be very user friendly?

    What windshield ?

I have the medium VStream on the Madstad bracket and I consider it windscreen nirvana. There's very low noise and very little turbulence. I have no contact with the handlebar but I have rotated it back somewhat for greater comfort, so maybe that's why. In the winter, I use a Parabellum tall...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Do you have a part number for this item? I've already added the lower grille from the '14 to my '12.

    New models announcement 10-16-14

Basically, if I can get features comparable to or better than the S10 (without the off-road capability) in a light weight (< 450 lbs wet) sport touring package, I'd probably pay as high as 12k (US) for it and trade in my Street Triple. By FI control, I meant like the S10's sport and touring modes.

    Sargent Seat Front and Rear**********SOLD***********

Re: Sargent Seat Front and Rear I like this seat very much but the cover is very slippery especially with my Motoport Kevlar riding pants.

    New models announcement 10-16-14

I'm hoping the FJ-09 is released soon. I'm also hoping it contains the goodies that the FZ-09 is lacking like adjustable suspension, ABS, traction and FI control. If it does, I'll probably trade my Street Triple for it.

Dealor wants deposite for recal parts

Ordered my parts 6 weeks ago at the dealer after getting the bike inspected. Today I call to find out if the parts are in and they tell me that they don't have the parts and that Yamaha's records show that the recall repair was already done to my machine. ::010::

Cruising with HD (is the S10 a good match for HD groups)

Interesting topic. A friend on a Triumph and I attended a charity poker run sponsored by a local bike club. Since neither of us had a GPS on our bikes and nor did we want to try and follow a route taped to our gas tanks, we searched for a group that was leaving that we could follow. A friend...
