Shift Lever Sticking- will not down shift.

You will also note that in the owners manual it says to do this as part of periodic MTC. I did my 4K early this weekend but didnt have the grease for it so it will have to wait till... well probably actual 4K. Preventative MTC beats reactive repair. IMHO, YMMV etc.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Did the 4k service at 3.2 K... It's been six months and the oil was looking kinda black. And I have a busy spring so this may be the last day I can dick around in the yard. I was thinking maybe I was a half quart low or something, because she had started shifting kinda loud but I got out pretty...

Will Yamaha Increase the S10 Power? If so, When?

Here is why I do not think they should increase the HP- You have to feed ponies. Higher HP generally= decreased MPG You have to fix ponies- high strung bikes need more and more expensive repairs You have to pay the pony- more HP= More $ part of the ST appeal is its cost relative to the...

Does anyone have a non-farkled bike and happy?

Other than boxes mine is stock. I had designs on farkling but my wife decided we need more land for the kids. Oh and my oldest son bought a bike so my moto budget such as it was went to him: new tires, good helmet, etc. I would rather risk trashing my bike without crash bars than my son...

Will Yamaha Increase the S10 Power? If so, When?

I hope they don't. The current motor is the right hammer for the job IMHO, and if y'all are like me I can tell you a real easy way to lose 50lbs.... It's called a diet and has nothing to do witn the motorcycle ::017::

Super Tenere Cam Chain Tensioner Failure

After reading this thread I figure I will just get the cct replaced at the first valve inspection .... Seems like a good time for it. Sounds like Yamaha did pretty good by you. For 1600 ( really 1300 plus the battery) you got a brand new motor.
