    Jumpy Throttle fixed

just found this threat from searching - i also had a very jumpy throttle and the reported "neutral throttle stutter" - I'm pleased to say that this has fixed it and vastly improved my throttle response and control. Do we know if the symptoms - even with the "cure" signal the start of the end of...

Does the horn need the engine to be running?

Wjbertrand - a link to the uk supplier I used - Http://www.rg-racing.com/browseBike/Honda/Varadero_1000/All_Years/DENTTSB10200B Racer - I actually just bolted it in place of the horn and used the std wiring and connections. A very easy swap. It's not the "full" horn and has no compressor...

Does the horn need the engine to be running?

and this is what i have done! well - not the "full sound bomb" - but the 'mini' one which doesn't need a compressor its very loud and fits very well in the space for the OE horn - I'm very pleased. the OE horn had packed in by the way - so swapping it out for this has solved my issue. Thanks all

Does the horn need the engine to be running?

sorry - quick question - should the horn work with the ignition on only - or does it need the engine to be running? Mine doesn't work at all at the moment - is there a 'usual' thing to go wrong with this? thanks, Graham

    Weres the fuel filter

Sorry for dumb question but what do you mean when you say "rusted up"? Do you mean the outside surface of the coil packs? One of mine looked a little "blistered" when I replaced the plugs the other day. Is this something I should be concerned about? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Weres the fuel filter

Oh also, while you 'could' do all the work without removing the tank, I'd suggest that when you have it pivoted up its only a quick release fuel line and two electrical connectors (which only fit one way) to remove to take the tank off and it gives so much room to work it's worth doing IMO...

    Weres the fuel filter

I changed my plugs and air filter last week over the festive holiday. The bike has 11,700 miles on it. The plugs looked ok and could probably have been left alone. The air filter was actually pretty filthy though. I was glad I changed it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    GPS Mount 2013

It can be used with the wings and the sw motech unit is fantastic! Solid, well made, vibration proof and just in the perfect location. You,just have to bore out the front most holes by one drill size to accommodate the bolts. It's as easy as it sounds. I'll get some pictures tomorrow if you...

FS: Yamaha OEM upgrade skid plate

agree with the above - you probably could remove the filter without taking the skid plate off, but it would make an awful mess! - plus the skid plate takes only a couple of minutes to remove / replace - probably quicker than cleaning all the oil out of it!

    Rocking horse poop!

Know what you are saying - the US boys are very knowledgable on the S10 though - they've had them a while and seem to do a fair bit more miles than the typical UK rider. I guess some live in climates where they can ride all year - although the norther fellas only get a few months riding a year...

    Rocking horse poop!

there's also an irony somewhere that this site is (mostly) an American site and they seem pretty keen on them and have sold a few there - and yet, the Americans had to fight with Yamaha to get them to sell the SuperTen there in the first place!!

    Rocking horse poop!

same here in the north-west - very rare. You rarely see one at the usual haunts / bike meets like cat on, devils bridge, st annes etc. very unusual. it worries me a little around re-sale value as they clearly aren't popular!
