not using a socket....using my Thandle to hold the bolt and a ratcheting box end on the nut....but grit and grime make them a bit tough to remove, thus the bolt heads are rounded out...need to grab them with a vice grips to back them off....grrr.... probablly over tighten them too, a skid plate...

is it just me?, or are the SW Motech supplied bolts complete soft crap?...the hex head bolts are rounded out after only a few skid plate removals.... need to find replacement bolts....

SOLD!!! I had a used but in nice condition Yamaha OEM tall windshield for the Yamaha Super Tenere. this worked fine for me for 10,000+ miles. but I went to a different style (MRA Vario). There are no major scratches in it, it is in really nice condition. Some wear is visible at the mounting...

yeah, i bought coupler nut for 1/2" treadded rod and one for 5/8" threaded rod....the 1/2" was at least a few mm too small....so now I have alomost three bucks invested in this.... ::025::...I'll try HD.. when I pulled my wheel, I used my 16mm and added a screwdriver blade to make it fit 19 mm...

ok, I bought 2 1/2" threaded rod couplers (not from home depot)..they are way too small..I tried the 5/8 coupler, it is too big... maybe home depot's is special?

why not just use the battery tender pigtail?...you can wire in a sae 2 prong on your compressor cord...or get a 2 prong sae to 12V outlet pigtail.... ??

instead of making a hole, why not just spend an extra minute and blip gas in and watch it go down (as is goes around the filler neck) and blip in some more?...been doing this for years and squeezing in more when I am in doubtful range

I ended up putting one powerlet in the gap between the tank and frame. I used the factory bolt hole for the crash bar mount... it works out fine for me so far....

I have these on 4 other bikes. then they stopped making them. I missed this thread. I treid the Rox riser...didn;t like the tension on teh brake line....so I ordered the SWMotech block...that is basically the same as the Tusk but it costs 3 time more ! :D :'(

ok...what did I do now? I wired in an aux powerlet for heated vest....I put the outlet in a nice spot on the left side in the gap between the tank and the fram using one of the holes for crash bars.... I wired up 2 wires to go to the heated grip 4 wire plug pigtail. I checked voltage and I...
