It ended up being a rubber cap on a vacuum line. The cap had cracked in numerous spots. Replaced it and all is well. The line was on extension that was put on the left side to make syncing easier. Larry

My 2012 runs fine but the engine light comes on briefly when I let off the throttle and it is in gear. Nothing else is shown on the dash. How would I get to the diagnostic mode on the Gen 1 bike? Thanks, Larry
