    Onboard traffic video recorder

great write up and thanks for sharing. we have dash cams in both cars and I use a Roadhawk bullet cam on my crash helmet but having to keep recharging the battery is a pain so seriously thinking about just such an install.

    Average MPG

by your response, I'm guessing that 2013 is the last year of the Gen1 bikes ? is it possible that the US had the Gen2 earlier then we did in the UK ? I know over here a bike can sit in the showroom for months maybe even a year or more and only when a customer buys it does the dealer get it...

    Average MPG

just checked the log book (registration) and it was first registered on 4th December 2015. seem to remember being told the bike had been mapped or chipped or something like that so not sure if this makes a difference to the figures. 62-64 is impressive!! now I have a target lol

    Average MPG

Interesting, I didn't realise our petrol was of a different quality to the US! I tend to cruise about 80 - 90 on the motorway or dual carriageway but have found that at 90 (or above) the average mpg starts dropping. At low 80's it stays fairly constant but at slower speeds the figure starts to...

    Average MPG

Apologies if this has already come up several times but was just wondering what sort of everage most others are getting. I've not had the bike long and still taking it fairly easy and riding quite smooth and the average MPH has risen as high as 54.8mpg My daily commute is a mix of town riding...

Hi all, new member from Surrey in the UK

I'm hoping to get my box this week and will try to get if fixed in place. I spent weeks trying to decide on which size and finally opted for the 42litre over the 58 as I really only use the bike for commuting...

    LED running lights

must admit I did worry about that but as they are so simple and so cheap I figured it worth trying. I did buy some better quality ones and also hoping the rubber insert will help. I guess only time will tell but in the meantime I have some spares ::008::

    LED running lights

Actually I wouldn't call them running lights either! I'd probably call them spots but that is their official name from the supplier so that's what I called them lol

    LED running lights

Thanks, I looked at both plugs on the loom and the lighting one is already in use for the fogs albeit you have to wire in a relay as the cables on those plugs are very small. I could have used the plug for the grips as my grips are wired direct but again it involves wiring in a relay etc so...

    LED running lights

Just did a search on fleabay for 22mm stainless steel p clips and there were loads to choose from. Not expensive and so far seem to do the job perfectly. I cheated a little when I wired mine in as I tapped into the low beam circuit which is only live once the engine is running. As the lights are...
