I am selling my 2012 Super Tenere (Black) Only 6600 miles and like new condition. It's only been on a couple of dirt roads. Never tipped over / Always garaged and dealer serviced. Excellent bike and nothing wrong with it / Wish I didn't have to sell / located in Denver / Clear title / Remaining...
I've read a few threads about the clamp and nut, plus threads about the bike pulling to the left when letting go of the handlebars. Possibly, could these problems be related to setting up the bike out of the crate? Not sure how it comes in the box. Seems weird there are so many bikes with these...
It's fixed!!! I think my problem all along was how the panniers were installed when I bought it. I found four bolts loose on the mounting framework and one screw out and one screw loose on the pannier locksets. So I went and bought the security torx tool to tighten the lockset screw after...
Thanks to you and the other posts, I got it open. I took off the bottom and then stuck a knife up there to slide over the lock arm and release the catch. On the box that was stuck, I took off the rubber cap and the screw fell out. On the other box, the screw is loose. I see I now need a torx...
Assembly instructions? The panniers were mounted when I bought it so I'm ASSuming the STealer did it correctly. I just tried the spare key which is made of a stronger material and it wouldn't unlock it either. I showed it to two dealers and they both didn't have any suggestions, but one of them...
My new Tenere came with the Yamaha bags. I agree that they are not the best locks. I now have one lock that the key will only turn about a 1/4 inch either way. I'm afraid I'll twist off the key if I try any harder. Any tricks or suggestions to help me get it open? Pushing down on the lid while...
Thanks. I'll try the foot and use first gear and see how that works. I can't always park uphill where I ride. I also want to compare the forward angle of the side stand when down. If I eyeball it, it seems like it's almost 90 degrees.
I've noticed that my Tenere has the tendency to want to roll off of the side stand at the slightest imperfection in a parking spot. Even on the hint of a slight downhill. Luckily, I've been able to grab the front brake to stop it before it falls over. I've never had this issue with any other...
I had to turn around and go back to pick up a missing top case. It feel off the bike somewhere along the dirt road I was on that was full of washboards. The bike mounting plate cracked in half from the vibration I assume. It was a Small Givi and it was empty. I just put it on a week ago so the...
Sticking to the western side of Montana is also a pretty good general rule. Going over Beartooth Pass is a plus, but if you can go north to Glacier National Park, go both directions over the Going to the Sun Highway. That's awesome too!
