    OEM Top Box Installation

    Torquing by feel is very subjective. I would run them flush using just your fingers on the screwdriver handle. Check the plate for any free play and carefully tighten further if necessary.

    spark plug check at 6K Miles ?

    I replaced the plugs at 12,000. I did not check the gaps on the old set however I did not notice a great deal of electrode wear. I did find the bolts that hold the stick coils difficult to remove due to corrosion. I would suggest that you a least remove these bolts and treat them with antisieze.

    ::006::They are different on each side of the bike. The one with the circular projection on it goes on the side of the bike with the radiator (radiator mount uses the projection). The longer one goes on the side of the bike where the battery is.

    Adding my experience to this great thread. I used a scissors jack for this, but any jack that fit under the pumpkin should work. I removed the lower shock mounting bolt, using the jack under the pumpkin to raise or lower the swing arm to remove tension on the shock bolt and slide it out...
