    Brooks Autosports panniers

I was replacing racks I already had, so I lost track of what bolts came with what - but I do remember needing to get some longer bolts, probably M10 or M12? As I recall, I placed the grab handles between the mount and the frame on the right, but the mount between the handle and the frame on the...

    Brooks Autosports panniers

Yes, the left is smaller in order to provide consistent overall width when allowing for the exhaust. You could order two of the larger size if you didn't mind being lopsided. No need to remove the grab handles, just use longer bolts to accommodate the mounts. I think it came with the longer...

    Winglets on 2014 review

I rode with these when I lived in Washington State, but when I moved to Illinois I removed them because I needed all the air flow I could get for cooling (me) during the summer. I found them to be useful and effective. Kevin

Anyone fittind LED turn lamps to a gen 1?

I replaced the OEM relay with a CustomLED ELFR-1 solid state flasher unit, and the bulbs with yellow 7443 LED replacements, which are a direct plugin replacement for the original filament bulbs. Super simple.

    Brooks Autosports panniers

I've had no problems with my Brooks Panniers, and there's no sign of the mounting pucks on mine being a weak link in the design. Price is back down to $750 or so for the complete setup.

    Screen Rake

I bought 1/4" 20 carriage bolts, 1" rubber and 1" metal washers and then secured them with these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LI7HDE/ref=oh_details_o07_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Rock solid now. Kevin

    Screen Rake

Touratech windshield bracket is OK - the knobs to lock it in place are useless and it flexes a fair bit at speed. Combine it with a Parabellum 24" screen and there's lots of protection even for someone at 6'3" with the seat in the high position. An adjustable bracket is the way to go because you...

    Harley Touring to Super Tenere

Still have my 2003 Fat Boy with large touring screen and bags, but I grew up riding Japanese 4 cylinder machines since about 1984. After riding the Harley for 7 years the Super Tenere is fast, agile, stops on a dime, quiet, handles like a dream, rides smoothly, and has lots more pillion room...

Parabellum Tall shield, Touratech adjustable bracket

Size comparison of the stock windshield against the Parabellum tall shield, and details of the Touratech adjustable bracket. Note that the locking knobs are not those supplied with the Touratech unit, which are useless, and I added 1" rubber and steel washers to prevent the adjusters from...

    License Plate Pelican Storage

Pelican 1120 case, about $24, fits nicely behind a US sized license plate and provides useful storage for items that you need ready access to - I plan to put the primary components of my first aid kit here. The plate light no longer illuminates the plate and it remains to be seen if that will...
