Yes, the left is smaller in order to provide consistent overall width when allowing for the exhaust. You could order two of the larger size if you didn't mind being lopsided. No need to remove the grab handles, just use longer bolts to accommodate the mounts. I think it came with the longer...

I rode with these when I lived in Washington State, but when I moved to Illinois I removed them because I needed all the air flow I could get for cooling (me) during the summer. I found them to be useful and effective. Kevin

I replaced the OEM relay with a CustomLED ELFR-1 solid state flasher unit, and the bulbs with yellow 7443 LED replacements, which are a direct plugin replacement for the original filament bulbs. Super simple.

I've had no problems with my Brooks Panniers, and there's no sign of the mounting pucks on mine being a weak link in the design. Price is back down to $750 or so for the complete setup.
