BMW found a solution for the final drive failures.....

I have never seen drivers rip through toll booths faster than on the Toll road and Greenway. I slow down to 35-40 and will almost get rear ended by someone on a daily basis. Yet when they get to the other side of the toll booths they don't accelerate away and merge back into the highway. ::)

Tomatocity, your measurements are correct. I should restate the above as the above comment. Until I measured it, I felt they matched but you are correct. This is a sad attempt at this but I tried to take a pic of the original over the Givi. Also an outdoor shot.

Here are some in the garage. I will get some tomorrow in the sunlight. I am 5' 9" With this set at the low position, it matches the height of the stock shield in the high position. It is a simple replacement,no modifications and nothing has to be removed.

I waited five weeks for a Givi 2119ST to arrive. It arrived today and with my first short ride I think it was exactly what I was looking for. The buffeting is gone and I don't need ear plugs anymore. I will know more tomorrow after a longer ride but I don't think I made a mistake with this one...

I would love to be at Romney next week but unfortunately life is getting in the way that weekend. I am hoping I can be there in 2016. I have just started exploring that area on the bike and love it. Luckily I live within an hour and a half from that area.
