In at AZ home. Warm enough I needed to put on shorts to unload. Rode around the block just to polish the rust off the brake rotors. Things are nice and green this year. It is hard to believe how much plants in the desert will grow over the summer and fall.

I was down in the Phoenix area last week and was surprised at how green it was. Seems like the rain ya'll got this season has done wonders for the vegetation.

Finally got move in tasks and honey do's done. Time for a shakedown ride. Headed out for a short ride to the closest trail. Love having great riding that close. Trails were pretty good, a few areas rockier than normal. Not much water in the creek beds.

I re-learned a few things:

1) Tether the phone into the mount. For the last picture, I found it dangling by the charging cord next to the steering column. This ain't flat lander riding.

2) Take water everytime in the desert. No matter how short the ride is.

3) I am out of shape. Tired after just 50 miles. Better workout than pickleball this morning.

Took a little 4-county, 200 mile ride today. Had to back track when at about 6,500 ft elevation I ran into snow and ice on the road. Nice views of the southern San Joaquin valley looking east and in the distance the snow-capped southern Sierra Nevadas:

Finally, after about three weeks of being snowed in, I made it out to the road. 315 miles latter I have to say, This bike is just crazy nice. While snowed in I did the winter maintenance of new cam chain and valve adjustment and everything that goes with that. My bike feels like it has a brand-new engine. Three weeks of not riding might have something to do with enjoying it so much but I really think having the cams back in correct timing [when the chain gets stretched out the cams really start getting behind on the timing] brings the engine back into how it was designed to run. Anyway, it's like I have a new bike for this season. With a big snow coming in tomorrow, riding isn't going to last long around here.
Down along the Mississippi in eastern Missouri, Sand quarry remains.

Altrider
I dont think it is.
I cant see any branding on it, but it fits together with my altrider bars. So i assume its altrider.

Altrider never made a bash plate like that. It does look to be styled after Jaxon's plate though. Home made maybe.
