Just heading out to Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland for first proper run out. Overnight in Carlingford and who knows what tomorrow. Sun shining 12 degrees
Felt a knock/clunk in the steering about 6k km ago, felt the dreaded notch 1200k ago when turning the bars when parking, rode to work last week and the bike was dropping sharply into slow corners ... on weekend pulled the top triple off.
Top steering lock nut did not take any effort to undo from rubber washer, Lower steering nut was still very tight - weird!
Only inspected top bearing = OK, re-greased top bearing and re-torqued nuts back upto spec.
Test Ride was OK
\Bike has ~58,000 km
I was working in my backyard on grass (board under c-stand) as I dont have access to a garage - it was a quick and drity check and refit.I would have at least center “standed” it with weight on the rack to hold it off the front and lowered the trees to get a brush worth of grease on the lower bearing. Mine needed it.
I got my kick stand plate today (Ebay, China)
Added the $15 kick stand plate from eBay. Very decent quality. Thanks for the tip here on the forum.

How do you like the Daylong seats ? Is it really the best aftermarket out there? I keep thinking about them but that's a lot of dough. I'm currently on the stocker, but begin to feel it big time around the 250 mile mark.... I believe a Russel with a backrest could be the perfect ticket!Gave her a bath.

Ok, stupid me, er mea culpa, no bending or adjustment required, as I initially put it on backwards.I got my kick stand plate today (Ebay, China)
The black bottom plate appears to fit beneath the side stand acuaractley, but the upper or top portion will need some bending and or filing to make it fit onto the bike's side stand.
What did you have to do to get it to fit your Tenere side stand??

Having a set fitted Monday. Should be interesting after Road 4 and 5.Not quite "What you did to your Tenere today".
More like "What you will do to your Tenere in two days".
Hope to have this set of new Anakee Adventures mounted on Saturday:
