So I actually went the "fanless" route. These are a couple hundred lumens lower but no moving parts and also a night a day difference between the stock halogens.

Also, keep in mind that most of the LED's in this thread are listed as "water proof" with an IP rating...so technically you shouldn't need the extended caps UNLESS you get some glare at night. If you have a dash infill it's possible you won't get glare. My brother is running the same without any caps and no problems.
