I recently burned out a Cyclops headlight and bnschroder turned me on to some Chinese bulbs that he found. Doing some research, I see that EricV and Xclimation found these too.
Even better is that the $31 is for a pair (one box), while a single Cyclops would cost more than double that amount. So you know what to buy, here's the box with an original bulb for scale:

Link to the product on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077KSPHB7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Comparison with the Cyclops in the middle:

I set up a piece of plywood in the garage and held the camera above the center of the windshield.
The first photo shows the NovSight on the left, with the OEM on the right, on low beams.
btw - I swapped the bulbs in the sockets and the results didn't change. Please just ignore the total mess on the work bench.

High beams with OEM on right:

THESE DO REQUIRE THE LARGER/EXTENDED CAPS THAT ARE AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING LINK OR FROM THE CYCLOPS KIT.

Riding on the highway and through the woods, the NovSights definitely are better than the Cyclops. To me, these are the shizzits and my thanks go to bnschroder.

The NovSights seem to have a hot spot, but push out better than the halogens. I have not had Cyclops, so can't offer comparison to that set. Only ~4k on them so far, but no issues noted.

So with the NovSights there is no extra electrical gizmo box that needs to be stuffed into the headlight housing like with Cyclops ?

Correct. As in CW's post above, there is just a short pigtail with the plug. Note that the plug will fit either way into the OEM plug, but because of the polarity required for LEDs, it will only work one way. So if a light doesn't light, just turn the plug around and it will fire up fine. Best to test before you button everything up!

Thanks for completely explaining that !
It will also be very interesting to hear how long NovSight bulbs last but even if they don’t last any longer than the 10,000 miles my Cyclops lasted at least they would be easy to change and only cost a fraction of the price.

You got it! At $16.50 per bulb, you can replace FOUR of these for every Cyclops and still be ahead.

Will I need the new caps installing these Novsight bulbs?
Yes you will. They stick out farther than the halogen H7 bulbs do. This is mentioned in the last part of CW's post above along with a link to Deftoner's vendor thread. There is also another person making and selling the longer caps now. Its in one of the other light threads.

I ordered the NovSight lights at the Amazon link posted above and a few days later was contacted by the seller (Neverland-Autoparts) with the following message:

-----------------------------------
Dear Robert,

Good day!

Thanks for your purchase. We just receive the notification from our warehouse, the bulbs are in bad condtion, we can not ship it to you, but we have the other one in good condtion which will be more expensive, but we will not ask you pay more. Here is the link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07475JC17

Could you confirm with me whether you mind change into this one ? hope hear from you soon.

Best regards,
Lily

I responded that I was fine with the swap as long as the new part will fit the same as the part I ordered. The delivery date window is between December 18 and January 10 so I won't see these for a while. The new bulbs definitely look wider in the back than the originals and possibly a little longer. Will have to wait and see if they fit. I have the Cyclops in how and love them but I've read about all the failures so wanted a backup.

HA HA Robert !! I got a similar email from the vender stating they were out of stock. She also offered me the upgraded ones at no extra cost and quicker delivery:

Hello Christopher ,
Thanks for your purchase.
We are so regret to tell you that the product is hot sell now,and we don't have stock now.But we'd like recommend you another one, please check the link below, will be more expensive and better than the one you've ordered, but we don't need you make up the price.and we will send it from FBA,the shipping time only needs about 5-10 working days, faster than the one you've ordered.

Do you like it?
Rachel

I'm not sure which ones I will be getting because they said the order already shipped before I got the email saying they were out of stock? Kind of strange ordering from China? But no big deal. The price is just too good to pass up.

By chance did you get a conformation email that the original ones shipped with a shipping number?

I guess we will just have to see if these new ones fit. Here are the size comparisons of each:

These bulbs are clearly generic, so as long as the numbers are the same and they look the same, then my guess is the performance will be too.

The difference is in size. Upgraded version is quite a bit larger.

Well the lights fit good. The extenders Victor makes clear the long bulb fan no problem. Now it's just a matter of testing these LED's out....

Bought mine off ebay Nov 27 and rec'd them today. Already have the extended caps and changed the 3 aux lamps to 6k LED. Unlike others, I was never that displeased with the s10's headlights, but I'm sure I'll kick myself a bit for waiting so long. True, I went through Silverstar Ultras like pez, (roughly 2/yr) but the coverage has been good other than the cutoff in turns. It'll be nice to gain the surety, longevity and spectrum of LED. Also have a Rigid 6" spot/flood in the void (moose/deer paranoid).

Having had a gen1 with the headlight harness issue and having long-considered LED's, I'm really looking forward to putting the headlight thoughts to rest for a while.

Any failures yet on these Amazon-special lights? I'm very tempted to give these a try having had experience with HIDs and LEDs in the past.
