Figured it would be a good thread to start here. Bet there are some creative things done by the users here buried in various thread going back years that would be good to have in all one place. One of my favorite thread on the F150 forum is a cheap/free modifications thread. Covering everything from locating the hidden USB port to just cutting a 2x6 to keep crap from shifting in the bed.
Here is one of my favorites for $15. Simple replacing the stock 12v cig lighter with a multi USB port and voltage meter. They make them in all sorts of configurations. I went with USB C and USB so I can use the fastest charging for my phone and still have a regular USB for anything else I might need to charge. HEre is the amazon link but for the one I went with. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R8JV1LX
Easy install, just unscrew the nut on the bottom of the factory 12v, snip the 2 wires and use 2 wire connectors to connect up to the new outlet. Be careful on install it does fit very tight into the hole. So make sure you have the display oriented the way you want it before you push it in. You do not have to take off any panels you can do the job in under 10 mins.
