.... in the state where you live.
Not much to offer here in Florida, except maybe the Overseas Highway that connects the mainland of Florida with Key West. About 129 miles, of island hoping through the Caribbean. Crowded, especially during snow bird season, and very expensive.... it's a tourist destination but it is a beautiful ride. If you're on the highway at sunset or sun it's special, very special! ::012::
I try like to stop at Alabama Jack's on the way down. http://www.floridabeachbar.com/bars/alabamajacks.asp
It's a good place for lunch and to become infected with the "keys diseases". When you're infected you leave all worries and stresses behind and life slows down..... a lot. All the "conchs"(locals) are terminally infected and it's best that tourist share the disease or they won't enjoy the keys. ::024::
A bit of Key West lore: http://www.conchtourtrain.com/conch.html
I'm sure you guys can do better. Let's hear it!
