When mounted properly, the Yosh does not damage anything.

I just watched it for the first time. (slow day at the office)

Put the ear buds in and cranked it.

Nice!

I'm about to pull the trigger on an aftermarket exhaust but I'm in between Arrow and Yoshimura Rs4.

I bought my bike 2nd hand and it came with an Akrapovic can, although it was prime quality etc. for me the main reason for an aftermarket exhaust is the sound, and to be honest Akra didn't had 1000$ + worth different sound from the stock so I sold it. ;D

Now I'm in between Arrow and Yoshimura Rs4. I was hoping that you can guide me on that matter.

What I want (as I hope that you understand from me selling the Akra) is something that can become louder when I'm in the mood of it. But also can be easily ridden for long distances with the wife on the back. If Akra had a removable baffle it might be a keeper.

I need something that sounds similar to Akra with the baffle in, but louder without being obnoxious without the baffle because when I'm not on long trips, I will mainly use it without the baffle so it shouldn't be like a dirt bike...

Thanks in advance for all the tips and opinions!

PS: I prefer deep tones ;)

I installed the Yoshimura and can tell you it is the best sounding exhaust out there. High quality construction. You can insert the db killer
in seconds. I left the db killer out and it is perfect. Nice throaty tone when cruising, and really sings when you roll on the throttle. My riding buddies praise the sound of the exhaust every time we ride. Check around the internet for the best price. I paid $329 with free shipping.
Also I cut and painted the plastic exhaust shield with a Dremel tool cutting wheel to show the beauty of the Yoshimura. I have heard the Akropovic (tone not much different from stock) on a friends Tenere and WAY too much money. ::008::

Thanks for the valuable input!

I just would like to get your opinion about a few more things:
- Did you ever had the chance to hear Arrow in person? could you compare the sound level and the tone please?
- Could you say that a wife (who's not a motorhead, just a regular lady who enjoys the sceneary, instead of the screamy and loud engine sound) could ride with it on long distances without any problem? (she had no problem with our Honda CBF1000 wth a Carbon LeoVince as long as I insert the baffle on long rides)
- I would like to use it majority of the times without baffle during daily rides, weekend rides, etc... but will install the baffle for long distance tourings and longish rides with the wife.. Do you think that Yoshi is up for this kind of usage? or it's a bit more on the cranking screaming side?

I have not heard the Arrow on a Tenere, but have on a Triumph twin and liked the tone. I am 62 and by no means want a loud obnoxious pipe. Without the insert it is just right for me, sounding almost like my old Ducati 900 .
My wife rides with me 80% of time and she say's it doesn't bother her at all. And she uses no ear plugs. When you wind it out it sings, but cruising it sounds like a bike should.
You can put the insert in place in a few seconds with one screw if it was needed. Mine is sitting on my workbench with no intention of ever using it. I was impressed by the workmanship and detail of construction. You will like the tone! ::26:: ::26::

This might have been asked but a different owners thoughts is appreciated, wit OEM turn signals survive the Yosh exhaust gases?

Any comments on Yosh vs Two Brothers?
They are about the same price. Seems the TB is louder & less likely to burn anything with the turn down tip.
I'v always been a fan of Yoshi pipes but may buy the TBR.
