If Yamaha were to offer a pre-order program like they did with the Super Tenere:

Would you pre-order a WR450X Supermoto with an msrp of $8k? 8)

Considering the following:
1) Plated straight from the dealer (USA)
2) 12 month extendable warranty, like every other normal road going bike
3) Larger battery and no kick start (maybe).
4) Full accessories like the WR250R/X

JJ is patiently waiting for this day, just like he did for the Super T!

The thought of it is a whole lot of fun, the reality of it is that there is no way I could drop 8K on a play bike.

The WR450X actually caught my attention for brief moment, the Bimota zipped right on by without a 2nd thought.
I've lusted after a Ducati for many years but the practical side of has not let it happen and believe me I've spent a lot of money on motorcycles in my life.

The supermoto category seems to have run out of steam in the last couple years. Given that they just dropped the WR250X, I doubt a 450 supermoto is on their radar.

The supermoto category is not just about a bike, but rather a riding position.

This is about comfort, then just find the size you want.
Though the Super T is the ultimate high speed urban assault vehicle,....

Send enough emails and make it a heck "Yes".

Yamaha showcase in Roma MotoDays 2013:
Is this a WR450X or what?
???
That's a Yamaha WR125X super motard bike, been available in Europe for a few years.

PS: Check out the Tenere in the background,... exhaust, body work, different frame and chain!
PSS: That's a completely new Tenere model?
That's a non-super Tenere, XT660Z. Also sold only in Europe.

I don't think you get it Mark!
Why are you trying to ruin my dreams?
You could move to Australia. They sell a street-legal WR450 variant although not sure about the motard version. Easy to swap wheels though.
