Okay; could do with some advice!!

I've bought some 2nd hand yamaha panniers and need to fit the locks, but have some questions:

I think the little screws in the back of the lock are torx and if so what size bit do i need to buy to do the job?

my new bike came with 3 additional locks; are these already set up for the bike key or do they need setting up?

Thanks in advance.... :)

The three lock cylinders that came with the bike should match the ignition key. Of course you can always put the ignition key in the lock cylinder to check!

The screws are Torx #10 tamper resistant. It is possible to knock out the tamper resistant pin in the center with a hammer and punch if you prefer not to buy the correct tool. Don't ask me how I know this.

Cheers,

Yep. Should easily swap over for the locks you got with your bike.

I think you need the key in the lock during installation at some point, and make sure to loc-tite the small screws when you refit it.

when u put the bolts back in put a drop of lock tight on them cos they are prone to rattling out leaving you (me) with a big problem of how to get into the panniers

dont forget to get a shorter key cut for the locks so you don't twist/break the ignition key. It's a Kawasaki key but I can't remember the code for it. There iare some posts on this within the forum.
