1.) Anybody purchase a Yamaha Extended Warranty?

2.) If you did purchase an extended warranty, can you enlighten me on the cost ?

3.) Given your experience with the S10, has anyone run into major repairs outside of their warranty?

I am close to purchasing a 2012 S10 but find the one year warranty a bit short in duration.
Sure would like to think that the S10 is not going to have the final drive failures that bee-em-vay owners are suffering through.

Thank you

If you do a search you should find at least one thread that lists two dealers selling YES for $400+. That is an excellent deal.

Remember, you have a year to purchase the extended warranty. No rush to make a decision when you buy the bike!

I just purchased it for a little more than 400 based on a posting from one our forum members. His uncle works at a yamaha shop in the Carolina's.

It was hard to pass up due the low cost, IMO.

I haven't heard of many issues myself. A friend of mine has 50k on his now. And he has had a few minor things, nothing major.

When I pick up by bike from the dealer (installing OEM heated grips and ran out of time this weekend @@##!**), I will be offering $400 for YES. Thanks, guys.

Ebay it. A dealer in Colorado sells it for $379. It's legit. Got all the paperwork in the mail with no problems at all.
