If you stay with the Yamalube, Yamaha experience in reliability is that they can offer a 20 year / 100,000 mile warranty! While few of us stay with Yamalube, just the offer says something.

The big question is just what does it cover.

In the 70's Ford gave a lifetime warranty on their engines if you used Castrol oil. You had to bring the car into Ford and let them change the oil every time and the warranty covered oil related failures. I don't think I've ever seen an oil related failure.

So long as you can document service with Yamalube it will cover any failure of the engine which is oil related.
Soooo good luck with that.

Not impressed. I will probably be over 100k before my 5 year warranty expires. (1 year oem + 4 years YES). I noted that what it actually said was "limited engine lubrication warranty" so probably spot on to what shrekonwheels said. That doesn't cover much.

That's like BG will cover any lower end of your auto if used there additive, which is very good . Just have documentation . And I did call Waist management in the early 80s in Ft Lauderdale for the snow !!! They had free snow removable on the truck !!! I'll get the 4 year warranty , who knows if Ill still be around in 10 years let alone be able to balance a MC.

what a scam to sucker riders in to overpay for oil. good luck putting a claim through. probably requires dealer service too.
