It would help if you listed the price being asked on Autotrader

You will get a better return selling the bling separately as it will not add a huge value to the price someone will pay for the bike.

Its on autotrader and adventurebikerider web sites also. However, considering this forum is 99% overseas reading members, this was just a post incase there was anyone lurking from the UK and wondering whether to try a S-10. I agree that individual bits and pieces would get more, thus my advert actually mentions is £7500 for the bike complete with panniers , RS4 can, satnavs etc. ie everything except rims/K60 scouts and all my clothing kit. However, the whole lot has to go anyways. Cheers. ...btw, coming past Abergevenny around 10am tomorrow and back again around 3/4pm for a A470 ride to Aberystwyth.

Some of those items would sell really quick on e-bay ::008::

I tried to sell a ZZR1400 with almost £2.5k of extra's and the best offer I got was about £300 more than I eventually sold it for after removing £2k worth of parts which I got about £1200 for - so £900 extra for a couple of hours in the garage and a few trips to the post office.

If you have time it would be worth stripping off anything of high value or real quick and easy to remove. Screen, Sat-Nav, Headlight Guard and engine bars spring to mind as an easy way of getting extra cash, the Rins may take a bit longer to sell but anyone who really wants them should pay a good premium.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Rob,
However, that's a heck of a lot of work ! I agree with you. However, to post the SW Motec kit - ie bars and sump bash plate, panniers and frames, RS4 can etc. etc. would cost a arm and a leg due to the weight and size ?

I will let the ad run for another week and then consider stripping the bars and sump plate , satnavs, panniers / frames and RS4 can off . Going to take a heck of a lot of work mind !

cheers

Exhaust can is about 15 minutes work, engine bars probably similar, and bash plate maybe a shade longer, you should make at least £250 for that lot - not bad for a couple of hours work removing, photographing, advertising and posting.

I doubt leaving them on the bike will add much to the value, may make it more attractive to buyer, but in my experience all sorts of idiots / tosspots / chancers call or message you and start banging on about they have seen a "similar" one for less money (where the "similar" one is missing about £2000 of bits that are on yours) and expect you to match the price of said "similar" one.

Give me a shout if you need a hand stripping it down ::008::

You could always advertise removed items on this site first, as you already have the pictures up? just a thought.

A few weeks ago I stupidly missed the chance of a 2015 2nd generation model for £7,200
Admittedly, it didnt have any extras (not even a centre stand), but therein lies the problem of selling an older bike with all the extras, some of which a potential buyer may not even want. I would spend those few hours in the garage and get all the bits off.
