imporoved suspension :D
No stock fz ever came with good suspension..the last two never did (9 and 7) and the fj was marginally better, but still shitty.
Love the triple.

What electronics are you referring to? adjustable power modes? I'm guessing ill have abs

I also read about this last week, and in EU mentioned it will come with cruise control.

We will see if they bring it to the US. I hope they do it's seriously cool looking. And that 900 triple motor is excellent.

Yamaha has really turned out a bunch of bikes. They're kinda breaking the Japanese mold.

Awesome, this may make a great city street and “short” to "medium" distance motorcycle. I hope I get to see one in person soon! :p

Both models will be available in spring 2016. The standard XSR900 will hit dealerships in April, while the 60th Anniversary model arrives in May. No pricing has been announced.

NO argument from me about he FZ09 suspension Greg, it's down right dangerous. Shame on Yamaha for putting junk like that in the market place. Seems to me, after back-to-back demo rides, that the FJ suspension is a significant improvement over the FJ. I appears the XSR suspension may be the same ,or simikliar, to that used on the FJ's and that's a good thing!

Yes, TC, ABS, ride modes, ride-by-wire YCC-T, from what I've read the looks to be fitted up like the FJ, and FJ with less plastic and different styling cues.

Greg, R U ready to move to the XSR? Yamaha welcomes your continued support to help maintain that nice 6.5% growth rate! ::008:: ::001::

I'm not really a retro kinda guy but this bike does work for me. I really feel that Yamaha should have used a twin instead of a triple engine, but nevertheless, its a nice bike. I really like the yellow paint scheme.
Have you had a chance to ride the FZ or FJ triple. I think if you have you would understand...

Move on to another Yamaha? why yes...but surprise surprise it's their new off road hybrid the YZ450FX. I'll be buying that next year when I get my money's worth out of my second had ktm exc 450.

The suspension is better on the FJ vs the stock FZ09, no comparaison. The only reason they did it was for price point. I bet you dollars to doughnuts that a lot more people would bitch and moan if the FZ09 was a grand more, with decent suspenders. Instead they went the ooooooo look how damn cheap this bike is, and let the owners sort it out.

I have just over $2G USD in the FJ Suspension. But that and the free ish exhaust mod, the thing will rock as a light duty sport tourer. The c.stand makes chain oiling a doodle, plenty of power, good ergos, and decent range/fuel econ. It's a keeper. I want to ship it to Europe next year and spend a bit of time ripping it up.

I'm done with naked bikes. Good fun around town, but the garage, and wallet are getting smaller. Plus I have to start saving for my new Yamaha. ::015::

Having had a Triumph triple I certainly know what you are saying, but I'm more of a twin guy and I like the rumble that is associated with that engine. For a retro styled bike I just feel that a twin would have been more appropriate.
