Guys my 2022 T12 has 11K KM on the original Bridgestone's and I have the following dilemma !

I'm heading out towards the end of the month on a trip to Newfoundland which will total about 6200 Kms - would you replace your tires before the trip or change them upon returning ?

Everyone is different.... I'm through tires at 5k miles max on every bike from my HDs, ADVs to my 200 HP ZH2.... Some riders go as much as 15k miles with their tires on the same bike.... No one knows how those tires have held up or their condition now better then yourself...

I would, but that's mainly because I never got more than 5000 miles out of a rear Battlewing, so at 6800 miles I'd probably be able to see through the tire.

I replaced my original Bridgestones at 18,000 kms but with local riding and daily checks and new tires on hand. For a trip I'd want new tires.

I’ve used many sets of Bridgestone BattleWings on my S10s and usually get 6500-8000 miles on a rear and 11000-13000 miles on a front.
Just FYI……I would replace both for sure as you are going to Newfoundland (pretty rural with no services in a lot of areas). I keep tire tread depth records on all tires and the rear BattleWing comes with 10/32” and the front with 6/32” depth new.
Have a good ride and watch out for all the moose!

Those tires are good for 11k miles?! Holy crap. I've yet to get more than about 7k out of a rear before he was well into the bars. I may have a heavy right hand though....

Whisper well said - lack of service (motorcycle dealers) I'm going to install a new set front/back tires. Yeah ill keep an eye open for Moose - had a close call with a dear a couple of weeks ago: early morning incident

Again thanks for everyone's 2 cents

If my pictures are any good I will generate a trip report !

550 I'm pretty sure my current tires would make it to about that mileage: but the comments made by whisper resonate in my head - new tires it is ordering them first thing tomorrow

IMOP - Yes……. You might find yourself somewhere you might need the extra traction of a newer tire. If you feel your current tires still have “life” , save them for a commute spare pair, or hand them off to a friend in need………….

If you are asking then yes. Dealing with tires on the road is not a great plan. You can always save your old ones, I do my own so this is not a costly proposition, just some time. After a while you will get to know what i interval works for you.
