Any Day You Can Ride is a Good Day!
Hello, ST friends.
As many of you are aware, I have been riding the heck out of my 2012 Super Tenere while attempting to document a million miles for Multiple Sclerosis. It now has 136,000 miles on the clock and as I travel thousands of miles on a weekly basis, I have been wanting to get a second bike prepped and ready to go, as well as to use when the first bike goes in for it's first valve check!
After a world-wide model search and with help of Yamaha, I have acquired another Yamaha Super Tenere. This bike is exactly what I need and want to continue my mission. A few weeks ago, my new bike spend the day at Twisted Throttle's headquarters in Exeter, RI where it was outfitted with just about everything a rider could need or want to travel safely and comfortable on this awesome machine. I took the experiences I had travelling on bike #1 for three years and tweaked them to decide exactly what farkles I would need on the second bike. I don't need the extra weight or trouble of items that won't hold up or get used, I ride my bike as my career.
The following items have been installed on my ST, and are available from Twisted Throttle, a company that clearly caters to Adventure riders.
SW-MOTECH TRAX ADVENTURE sidecases and top box
SW-MOTECH 12-volt Quick-Lock EVO City tank bag
MadStad adjustable windshield mount
KAOKO™ throttle lock
TechSpec Gripsters
Denali Soundbomb dual-tone air horn
Denali DR1 LED auxiliary lights with snap-on wide-angle beam filters
Rox Risers Handlebar risers
Oxford Adventure Heated Grips
Gerbing panel mounted plugs for heated gear
Ram mounts and arms for various electronics
SW-MOTECK mirror expenders
Twisted Throttle even created a very cool video while farkling the new bike. Check it out here;

Every experience I have had with Twisted Throttle's employees have been great, even when issues arise, I am amazed at the level of professionalism and knowledge from the entire staff. Here in New England we don't have many motorcycle businesses that I would even bother doing business with, and after 30 years, 39 different motorcycles and well over 800,000 miles, I have really tried to patronize as many of them as I can. Twisted Throttle is an amazing exception and as they have always supported my journey, I hope you consider visiting or checking out their vast array of goodies that enhance the safety and comfort of our machines.
