I'm fully 5G'd up with Pfizer as of this morning, almost exactly two months from the first shot.I was able to book jab 2 today, July 5.
Trust me, we have the very same questions. Did we trade long term protection for short term gain? Unfortunately only time will tell if our gamble was the correct one.Let me preface this by saying that this is not a criticism. . . . and I am a pro-vaxer. . . . but, I have to wonder how protected against covid you really are using the Canadian schedule. Even after the second dose. Due to the second dose being administered 30 days later than the manufacturer recommended. As we know, you can find studies/charts showing whatever we want for our own narratives. 'Cuz, I've read that 60 days after the first shot is better than 30. I've also read the opposite.
I truly hope that y'all are just as protected as we are. . . . and vice versa. 'Cuz, I'm a firm believer that until everybody builds up some anti-bodies, (either by vaccine, or surviving the virus itself) this thing is going to be harder to get rid of than a booger on the end of your finger.
Good luck to everybody.
Yeah, whether we're all going to grow an extra appendage from side effects or not, the vaccine is working. I don't have any idea how the numbers compare, but the three largest counties in the DFW area, have dropped even more.. . . . At least in the short term, Ontario has gone from a daily all time high of 4800 cases two months ago, to 300 cases reported today.
The Pfizer vaccine is a 3-week wait (Moderna is 4 weeks) or is Holland doing something different to Pfizer's recommendation? I know a lot of countries are extending the interval to the second shot to broaden the supply for first shots. Canada seems to be the wild west right now, mixing and matching Pfizer, Moderna and Astra-Zeneca first and second doses in every combination and intervals between doses. Finally got my first Pfizer today! Next in 4 weeks!
Happy man..
Wow I’m not a supporter of that wild mix&matching thing.. Holland has asked the experts how much there can be stretched safely with every brand. So that more people can get at least the first one quickly. Because In the beginning supplies weren’t up to speed, now they are and it’s going fast! The Pfizer vaccine is a 3-week wait (Moderna is 4 weeks) or is Holland doing something different to Pfizer's recommendation? I'm in US, but have many friends in Canada. Here in the US, as far as I can tell, the manufacturer's recommendations regarding matching doses and timing intervals, have been very strictly adhered to.Did you get a mix?
That's because we have plenty of doses. Now, if we can only get everybody shot, jabbed, or injected.. . . . Here in the US, as far as I can tell, the manufacturer's recommendations regarding matching doses and timing intervals, have been very strictly adhered to.
Sounds like a good Saturday night.Stab, Poke, Prod, Stick.
