Winter finally arrived and stranded the bike at home. TCS is great, but still not going to intentionally tackle ice with it. Driveway was coated in a sheet of ice. I decided to attempt to break it up in a way consistent with my personality. Wife asked me "why don't you just use salt?" Sometimes she really doesn't understand me. Personally I think my way was working just fine.

Looks fine from here! Salting is bad for the blood pressure and corrosion on metal parts. Bike sat here for over a week now. We got hammered with snow. I have been without power for three days and not expected to return for 3 more either.

That's rude, dude. Been reading about your woes down there. For once, I think I'll take my weather over yours. Hope that nonsense is over soon. R

I definitely like your way better DD. You could always make the Mrs. happy and spread a little salt when you are finished. My lane looks a little icy today too. Mo' ice tonight...oh boy ::)

Dang HoebSter...dig out soon man. Several winters in a row here in the east have gone that way. This one is a comparitive piece of cake...so far.

At least you have power to be on the Forum! ::022::

Good luck getting your power restored for the "less important" items in life!!

Rod, My boss made me drive into work to make sure our store was open. ::010:: ON the worst day we did $30 worth of invoices. I sat here on the computer looking at forum till my eyes crossed. The snow wasn't all that bad here with 5-7"! South of us near Olympia the capital, they got 12-17" of snow. For us that is bad. The ice rain started ontop of 4-6 inches of snow, then trees covered in ice starting falling everywhere. Roads are all clear and dry now, just not the power lines. I will head to house mid-day today to empty freezer where meat and other stuff has almost completely unthawed.
Later Guys!!!
