So I mosey by the local cycle dealer today just for a look, and spied a Cortech Super Mini tank bag on the rack. It's a nice piece, just what I'm looking for to hold a few small items and my route overview.
Displayed prominently on the package was a label that said, "Includes waterproof cover!" Let's stop and think about this for a sec. This is not a piece of gear that a living, breathing, sweating human has to wear. It is designed to hold electronic items and maps, etc. It doesn't need to breathe or expel moisture from the inside out. Shouldn't something like this be waterproof without having to put a cover on it? Spray some coating on/in it, put on a rubberized zipper and you're away to the races! I know cost is usually a factor but they've included a waterproof cover haven't they?
It just seemed idiot to me. So idiotic I created a new board just so I could rant about it.
