All the time I've owned this bike, I've thought I had a National Cycle V-Stream windshield because of the "stars and stripes NC" logo at the lower left, but having seen some pictures of the V-Stream I'm starting to think this is something else. Is this possibly the Yamaha tall windshield and it's made by National Cycle? It also has a Super Tenere logo at the lower right. Can anybody help ID this windshield? It's what was on the bike when I bought it. 20230618_140734.jpg20230618_140740.jpg20230618_140746.jpg20230618_140751.jpg

What year is your Tenere ?
I don’t think that’s a VStream windshield because VStream windshield’s have a VStream logo front center near the bottom.
The stock windshield that came with my new 2018 looks very similar to yours except where yours says Super Tenere one time across the bottom, mine doesn’t have that but mine has that logo printed vertically on both outside edges of the windshield, if yours is a different year that might explain the difference.
My stock windshield was about 17.5 inches tall, but I replaced it with a medium sized VStream which in my opinion works much better than the stock windshield. I also used the tallest VStream for a couple months but didn’t like it because it was too tall.

I realize now you must have a 2013 or older Tenere, i think my old 2013 Tenere windshield was identical to yours.

It looks like the Yamaha OEM tall made by National Cycle…….the OEM Yamaha winglets are also made by National Cycle for Yamaha.
It is very good quality and hard coated unlike some after market windshields.
This is pretty much what I had been starting to think. I just didn't realize the Yamaha brand tall screen was manufactured by National Cycle. Thanks for the information.

Just because it’s made by the VStream company for Yamaha doesn’t mean it works as well as an actual VStream windshield, my opinion an actual VStream windshield works much better. There are also lots of other brands to choose from, if I was doing it over I might go for the California Scientific or a Mastad

Yeah, I've never been happy with this windshield, gets pretty terrible buffeting at highway speeds and makes me feel like a bobblehead doll. I would like to try something else - hence the importance of knowing what I have now so I know what my alternatives are. I'm actually happy to hear it isn't a V-Stream because that means I can try the V-Stream option.

Had the tall VStream On my 2013 and liked it pretty well even though it was slightly taller than I prefer , it was clear and I prefer clear.
Had a tall VStream on my 2018 for awhile but it was to tall and tinted even though VStream claims it’s clear, switched to the medium VStream , the only thing I don’t like about it is it’s tinted but I mostly look over the top so it really doesn’t bother me a lot , for me its definitely better than the stock windshield was.

At 5'6" I might be one of the shortest S10 riders. I don't really want an extra-tall windshield because I still want to look over rather than through it. I'm not expecting total coverage either; I really just want something that doesn't direct the turbulent air right into my forehead. Which this windshield seems to do in every position. I did add some mirror extensions as some people have reported those reduced turbulence, but I did not observe any difference.
