Which one to choose

Am thinking about changing the end can/slip on on my 2014 S10.

Now, I don't want a much noisier bike but I would like a more pleasing exhaust note.

I've checked various options on Youtube but still can't decide which way to go ~~ I know there are other post which focus on Akrapovic/Yoshimura/Arrow options.

Can anyone advise from experience which of the options mentioned offers a nicer more mellow exhaust note without too much Db increase

Thanks in advance ::008::

Littledave has the Akra' on his S10 and it sounds deeper and more purposeful than stock but not much louder. They are not cheap, but ooze quality and they do pop up on ebay from time to time. I have a Simmi Carbon Tri Oval on mine and it's quite a bit louder than stock. Gawd knows how it's road legal. The Arrow can's seem to be popular in the UK too.

Cheers for that Bry, :)

Further research has led me to another question which I have passed on to Akrapovic, that is, does the same pipe fit both 2014 ZE (electronic suspension) and non ZE models, (mines a ZE type )

any idea ?

I had the same Akra on my 2012 model and my 2014 ES and it fits just fine. No change with the ES in that regard.

I think that's about the price Littledave picked his up for on ebay, a hefty saving on new, which is nice ::008::

hi tyke that's a good price for the akra as bry says there a great bit of kit and fit like a glove they look best with the short carbon cover as its a shame to hide it away with the stock cover

I am running the Leo Vince and like it quite a bit. It was more reasonably priced compared to some of the other pipes. It came with two baffles: One straight and one turned down in case you are running panniers. I run it without the baffles and it is nice and throaty. Not too loud, but your ear will tell you if it is or not :)

Thanks again to foosyerdoos, for putting me in touch with the seller of a barely used Akrapovic pipe, which is now fitted and looks great plus its not too noisy, but it has smoothed out the bottom end of the bike enormously, so a big ::008:: for the Akra ::015::
