Does anyone have any input a set of jacket and pants for $500 or less that is warm and DRY and rugged. I have been looking on RockyMountainMC.com and there a lot of optoins. Are the reviews they have honest? Any suggestions would be appreciated. ::021::

Watch ADVrider classifieds for Aerostich Darien/AD1 gear. $100-200ea for jacket and pants and it's heirloom quality Goretex gear. I've bought a ton of gear and consider it money wasted and wish I just did this first and was done with it. You'll buy it for $200 and be able to sell it for $200 so if you need another size or see a nicer color you'll never lose any money.

Klim is the hip shit right now, but before that was Rev'it and then there was Olympia that everyone was all goofy over. Aerostich will repair or alter and be there when you need them.

Last year I bought new Firstgear Kathmandu pants and jacket from a local large motorcycle place on sale or under 480. Really good gear, waterproof, warm with liner and armor (D30) and extremely comfortable. I wear this and Klim Latitude which is much more $$

If you are over 6'2 (I'm nearly 6'4) buy the tall pants. I got a 20% discount during a sale but I'm sure you can find those prices on the black friday sales.

I'd encourage you to check out Olympia's AST jacket and Ranger pants. Had mine for years and love 'em. Great all around gear. Check Competition ACcesories and Revzilla for close outs.

Thanks for the motorcyclegear.com connection. I ordered the full suit yesterday and it is already shipped. I am interested to see how well the suit works this winter for snow removal using a two stage blower.
