We ride for thrills, to visit specific destinations, and enjoy many different types of experiences. So where have you taken your Super Tenere or where do you plan on going after you take delivery?

Fantastic!

I have plenty of rides in my "bucket list" and have to re-work my plans for DS riding but, in the closer future, I'm planning to ride the eastern TAT and, in 2012, north to Alaska.

I'm going to run mine up to John O Groats first ... there's plenty of opportunity to use it on rough trails. Hopefully then taking her to Estoril for the MotoGP. Next year I'm hankering after the deserts of Morocco

I've decided to do some trail blazing/pathfinder type stuff for the good of mankind. Object of the exercise is to adorn my panniers and top box with truly meaningful stuff. I'm not talkin' about a few Mickey Mouse locations in deserts around globe ... I'm after real adventurer type places, straight up dens of iniquity .... I'm talkin' Hooters, Spearmint Rhino, The Axe Bar, ACE Cafe Street Fighter Club, Playboy Club. This, I feel, will benefit all of us and demonstrate the abilities of the XT1200Z in the urban environment. It's a jungle out there! Wish me lucK. ;D

'Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast' ::) (who said that then?)

i have an 02 1150gs adventure with 130k fabulous and damn near trouble-free miles on it. we've been everywhere in north america and parts of mexico except the canadian maritime provinces. i'm thinking the tenere will fill in the blanks nicely. i've also been planning to head to south america for the past 4 years, but one thing or another has gotten in the way. eventually it's going to happen and the tenere will be an excellent companion for the trip to ushuaia.

ultimately, the plan is to wear this thing out and have fun doing it.

Hey Swagger. I just asked if you can set up the bike is this mode, does the standard dash allow you to keep it in sport with the traction control off? Please go over the steps or the section of the manual that explains this.

The sport mode once selected stays as is. Unfortunately, the TC has to be turned off every time you start the bike. It must be stationary and you keep the button depressed until the yellow warning light comes on. Then it's playtime ;D

Swagger someone mentioned on another thread a device you can buy for keeping the TC off at the flick of a swich, may be worth a look.

Hmmm my minds not made up on this yet. I'm not sure that I want a hard wired switch for the TC. This I think will need a bit more careful consideration.

http://www.azbeemers.org/forum/index.php?topic=2760.0 Those of us in North America will not have our Super Tenere 1200Zed's in time for our trip to Land's End on Mexico's Baja California Peninsula in March; but, I wanted to extend an invitation to ride South with Papa Chuy.

Members of www.fjrforum.com and www.azbeemers.org are crossing into Mexico at Tecate on Tuesday, March 16 and will be crossing back into Estados Unidos on Thursday, March 25 at Los Algodones. There will be an extension for part of the group, where "El Burrito Ballerina" will be leading riders onto the La-Paz to Mazatlan overnight ferry. We'll then tour Alamos and San Carlos; crossing at Nogales, MEX 3/28/11.

Well, for me it is a miracle...one that i am having my first child come this December, then second, that my pregnant wife said to go ahead and order the Super Ten. So with that, when May comes, my daughter will be roughly 5 months old. I may just be able to ride the bike from the dealer back home to park in the garage for solo trips to the store, or gas station. There isn't a possible way I can schedule some sort of outing in 2011, maybe i can slip away for several day trips here and there. I owe that much to my wife and soon to be girl.

I am almost 39, and have ridden 43 states including Alaska and Hawaii and several provinces in Canada since I started riding alot in 1996. I know I have seen more on a bike than most will ever see either in a car or motorcycle be able to experience. I have enjoyed my almost 120,000 miles on bikes so far and know I have to take it slow for awhile.

congrats to you both, jeff. children do tend to create a different set of priorities, but in a good way. even still, we all need to reboot ourselves from time to time so i'm sure the s10 will play a key role in your future and ongoing sanity.
