Last couple days in CO.

Just a few pics

Picked up a souvenir on the trail. Can you find it?

I did a 131 mile ride yesterday around the country side to start my break in. Loved the bike but need to replace the stock windshield and seat, neither worked for me. I have both on order already. Love the bike though, rode between 70 and 80 mph, being cautious not to exceed the 4700rpm per the owners manual. I also played with suspension settings to try dial it in a bit. No pics this time, was too focused on the bike for first long ride out. I'll snap some next time. :)

Thought about messaging you but was on a tight schedule. If you make it to AZ this winter look me up.

Illinois River back roads. Kind of boring after CO. Slabbing two hours to get there and two hours back. Seems like they are closing one of my back roads every year.

It is nice to get the low altitude power back, but the mileage drops accordingly.

I could have followed ATV tracks around that last gate, but I don't typically bypass locked gates.

Funny you should say that. Our temps this morning were actually in the mid-70°s. And I could feel the extra pep in her step from the cooler air.

Rode with Rodeoclone down to Arkansas to ride some of the TAT.
We rode west to east for a while. The Warloop road was really the only good section.

Then we got off the TAT to ride some great trails.

Then Rodeoclone busted a hole in his stator cover.

I helped get him back to Oark where his wife would pick him up. I had JB weld and Quick Weld, but he didn't want to fix it.

I went on to ride some great stuff.

A local guy near Bass, Ark. told me of a grave site Husband and wife born on the same date 4 years apart and died on the same date 4 years apart. way up in the mountains so I headed off for that.
After an hour a downed tree stopped me. Who knows I probable wasn't even on the right trail.

My picture of the cover didn't show it.
It was rideable with two quarts of oil loss to get back to Oark.
I rode to the Oark store and picked up two quarts for his Harley.
