and....have you ever stopped in at the factory at Freedom, Wy? I did once and checked out their wares, they are expensive but very nice!

I was thinking about you, Ken as I rode up the start of the trail. The road was sooo smooth and nice. It didn't last though. 80 miles of rough loose gravel. And potholes, soo many potholes. I was loving it.

Did a small 90 minute loop that included some unpaved gravel/dirt farm roads. Rural Illinois doesnt have too much to offer so ill take what i can get. I miss living in wa state.

Start looking towards southern IL and southern Indiana. Gets quite hilly towards the two rivers. I'm sure there must be gravel down there. Kentucky is also nice riding.

Yeah I usually head south. I have a ride i do east into Indiana that is nice too.

Today it was nice to ride in the September sun. Nature is still quite green, but the autumn colors can already be seen...

Behind the forest is a WWII airfield, which was used by the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighters of the Finnish Air Force in the battle against the enemy in 1944.


The memorial stone can be seen, but access to the area is prohibited.
