Thanks.
The best trip of my life ( so far ..)
Needless to say the bike was flawless lol.
Now in all honesty ( I will probably open a can of worms) the BMW of my mate was flawless too but after we swapped the bikes a couple of times I know for sure the S10 was the right tool for the job....

I found one of those maps that highlight places visited. Countries in red are where I’ve been on my Super Tenere, that’s 22 countries including the one I live in.
Note - I have NOT been to NI nor the Mediterranean Islands on the bike, they get picked up when clicking on UK/France/Italy.
If my plans work out for the remainder of this season, the Super Tenere will have visited 12 countries in 2023.

From Susanville up through Lassens volcanic Park in California then escaped the afternoon rains as it chased me out of the park then up through NE California and ended up in Lakeview, Oregon. 20230818_122229.jpg
Emerald Lake. Gets the green color from an algae. But the reflection was what I liked.20230818_122233.jpg20230818_142345.jpg
A little history.

Part of the old road is still down there with the bridge.

You ought to go up through Plush and into the Hart Refuge. Great hot springs, then onto French Glen and do the Steens loop north to south. Then down to Fields for a milk shake. From there head north along the Alvord. Ride on the Playa for a bit then head along the East Steens road north to Crane Hot Springs. If you want more???

Ok, I found plush, hot springs don't interest me. I found French glance park on 205. Where does the steens loop start?

Found Fields
The loop can be entered at the north end at French Glen or about 10miles south of there. So if you enter on the northside you will come out on 205 between there and Fields. If you take the road from plush to Hart mt. you will come out on 205 a bit north of Fields. There is IIRC another way that comes out closer to French Glen. Either way you can enter the loop from the French Glen side or from the south side and come out at French Glen. There is Gas at FG and at Fields. Rubber side down!

Did the BMW rider have to look at the ‘Service required’ warning the whole trip?
Ah ah ah
No luckly
There's a way to erase it with the key on the ignition.
He has a super duper bike but again for this kind of trip ( we managed to cover 7600 km in 12 days) I personally prefer my dinosaur.
