Sorry Strummer, I wasn’t sure when exactly I was going to be there and how long for.
I only stayed in St Leonardo for 2 nights, but next time I will stick around longer so I can visit the museum at the top of the Timmelsjoch and I will give you a shout
you out there now rob

10 week turn around is that bad luck or bad planning Rob?
I’m trying to make up for lost time last year when my bike was written off and I nearly suffered the same fate!

bad luck,
i took the bike with a fork leak to get repaired the guy stripped the front end off and said the fork had some bad marks at the top that he would expect to leak again quickly, he advised me not to pay him and do them, but to get new lower legs, or take the forks off and send them to a company called PITTED FORKS, i rode the bike home with fork still leaking, i put the bike to the garage took the front end off got the forks ready to send away rang pitted forks up to tell them there off ready for collection, then bang 10 week turn around, i was f-cked basically no point in putting them back on as the caliper and pads were going to get trashed so that was that

Bit of a catch up. Took off for Scotland last Wednesday. Parked the wife at Garlieston in the moho while I took off to meet up with some mates in Grantown en Spey0828FF00-0E9D-4237-94F2-8EDE43B4EC13.jpeg

Weather was very typical Scottish four seasons in one day. Second day was my lead, large chunk of the NC500. Heading to Dunnet Head.

Highest point on mainland Great Britain. Higher than JohnO Groats, no idea why that dump gets the plaudits!!

Weather turned a bit Biblical heading down into Lairgs, so we hid under the station canopy for half an hour.

Pitched up in Lochgilphead. Popped down to our friends for dinner last night. Bikes indicators refused to work. Really odd!! Three hours later and headed back to moho and they’re fine again!!!
Lazy day today. Tomorrow we’re off to Cambletown and Kintyre Gin distillery for a tour and tasting and afternoon tea. Friday I’m on a fishing trip out of Tarbet harbour, do my hunter gatherer bit amd see if I can feed my woman. Our friends father had a boat in Tarbet and use to take me out, but we lost him 18mths back, and they’ve sold the boat. They didn’t have the heart to go out without him.
