Rode my Stratoliner there for a STARbq a few years back.So apparently you have been to Donahue in Wisconsin Rapids ?
Is that where you bought your Tenere ? When I was looking to buy my 2018 I stopped there on my 2013 and they told me nobody buys Tenere’s so they don’t stock them and they never said a word about possibly ordering one, I kept looking other places, seemed unbelievable to me how much trouble I had simply trying to buy a new motorcycle
Stratoliner, eh? Do you still own it? I just sold my Roadliner S a few months back. I put a full fairing and stereo on it and added a tour trunk along with the stock Yami leather covered hard bags. I had big plans for touring on it but that never panned out. Those Stratoliners/Roadliners are great bikes... and the 113 c.i. engines pull like a beast.Rode my Stratoliner there for a STARbq a few years back.
Isn't the the evolution of the Gen I VMax motor? Or, is a total redesign?. . . . and the 113 c.i. engines pull like a beast.
If memory serves, the Vmax was a V4 that started as a 1200 and grew to a 1700 with the last gen. The Stratoliner and Roadliner is a Vtwin 1900. I could be wrong about the Vmax though. My memory isn't what it used to be.Isn't the the evolution of the Gen I VMax motor? Or, is a total redesign?
Strat went for an Indian Roadmaster because it had a better backseat. Then “WE” rode the Venture at STAR Days in Utah. Had one 10 days after we got home because the pillion was better still. Has a detuned 1900 motor.Stratoliner, eh? Do you still own it? I just sold my Roadliner S a few months back. It was a Forest Preserve area with trails. There was a horse based RV park right across the road. I took an unplanned route, and actually had to double back since I wanted to check out the area. Glad I did. That road is one of those that is in better shape than our paved ones. That mill seems pretty random. Is it as secluded/remote as it seems? Very interesting.
Nice spot!north wales, 4 hr ride to the ponderosa bike cafe on the horse shoe pass
