Looking at your route, it makes me wonder what the shortest route is to hit all 49. Yours looks pretty efficient. That is a lot of miles in a short time! Congrats!
Thanks holligl, the route i followed was from the famous Ron Ayres and detailed in his book "Against the Clock"https://www.amazon.com/Against-Clock-incredible-story-49/dp/1884313191"

It was very efficient and started on the east coast. There are so many options and I chose it because it was close to home. Details can be found here www.mctourers.com under their older rides.
I started on the 12th and finished on 20th, then flower sniffed on my way back home after seeing a glacier and hitting the upper territories.

The shortest route is a bit under 8k miles. I think the record for 49 states is a bit under 6 days now. More fun taking more days. Congrats Cmoresky! ::012::
Thanks! I wasn't trying to set a record in shortest or fastest, just have a great ride with enough vacation saved to do it and get back home. Its a long way and I have to make every hour/mile count.

Still in Break-in mileage.

Not an adventurous gravel / trails ride. But a ride is a ride.

Memorial say ride. Did a nice little 151 mile round trip ride collecting Bonus locations for the 2017 Grand Tour of Georgia (GTGA). All State Roads today. North Georgia is a nice biking playground.

Congrats Al-n2it

You're fortunate to have the blue skies and snow in the background without it interfering.

Wandering around the PA/MD border after work and came across this pretty little half broken dam with several waterfalls.

Just got back from Fruita CO and Moab. I took my 2013 Super Tenere on the White Rim and up Shafer Trail. Great scenery and the bike performed well. Still need to get the suspension and tire pressure dialed in, but all in all it handled everything pretty good. I started down Pucker Pass and had to turn around. There was a section at the top that made me agree with the name. I was concerned about stuffing the front wheel in some sand at the bottom of a big rock slab. I'm still new to the bike, so maybe over conscious, but looking to be safe. Great trip and look forward to many more off-road miles on the bike.

I'd bet money it was some type of wildlife that took your yummy, salty glove. Squirrel, Blue Jay, Crow/Raven...

No joke!.... I rode 1200 miles today! Left my son's house in Sumter, S.C. 04:00 EST and arrived home in Forth Worth, Texas 22:30 CST! Longest ride I've ever done! Enjoyed just about every minute of it except the last 120 miles or so....... I need better eyeglasses for riding at night.

Home to Minneapolis, MN over 5 days, Minne to Allen, TX in 2 days, Allen, TX back to Minne, via OK, Iowa, some state I've forgotten, then back into MN. From there it was a two day run across I-94 thru North Dakota, into MT, then down to Ririe, I'D for the GS Giants Snake river ramble. Three days later, all the good food eaten, the beer trailer kegs dry, it was South to Salt Lake City, UT where I sit baking in the heat at the BMW MOA event. They are a tough crowd, but intervention is the only way to save these poor lost souls. 5200 miles so far. Going on the fourth week on the road. I am ready for our king size bed at home. Two more nights here, then a strait slab run South to home.
