Weather looks excellent. And if your return ride doesn't include highway 37 the Stewart Cassiar it should. ::26::
Enjoy the ride.

Exactly! ::008:: Besides, you can take a little detour to Stewart, B.C. / Hyder, AK and get another Mile 0 picture, that one of the Alaska - Yukon Hwy. It's on the side of the Sealaska Inn in Hyder. Fun place. Eat at "The Bus" a.k.a. Seafood Express, buy some fudge from Caroline at her gift shop, ride out to the Marina, (was more fun when it was an old wooden dock), and go thru the only border crossing manned by only Canadian border guards, no US side border station.

Took a quick detour from my commute and hit up Nuuanu Pali Drive. Like most rides in Hawaii it was short.

Sadly, I took my Tenere to its new owner today. Came away with a stack of cash and a headful of ideas, as to the kind bike i'm going to build with it. Tastes change and, after hitting the big 60, there is one item on the bucket list just has to be ticked off. Thanks for all the help, advice and support over the years folks, it's been a whole heap of fun. ::008:: ::008:: ::008::

Always hard letting something go. To get my S10 I had to let go of my FJR. Loved that bike. Sad to see it driven away after it being sold.
But there will always be new rides. Hope whatever comes next gives you miles of smiles.

Took mine to work.
Not exactly an adventure, I admit. But it was her first run on her home turf in a while.
(She just spent short of a month being hauled all around the northern central-east USA)

Just to add a bit of spice to the commute, I parked her right dab out front of National Headquarters fancy entrance. Kinda like a showpiece.

Someone immediately predicted I'd draw ire for such a bold move. I countered with "I welcome the attention. I'm just wondering if they missed me enough to look the other way?"

Just got home. I think I've successfully expanded the boundaries of tolerance.
Amazing they've put up with me all these years. ;)

Tell Jaxon I need that little rubber cover for my custom RideOn Squadron switch. The one that glows with the internal red\green led.
Yea, I lost another one.

IT'S NOT MY FAULT!!!
I blame trikepilot and patrick and truegrip and wreckerchecker and..........

I followed them into the forest and banged the thumbswitch off a branch or rock or something.
Considering all the bashing & crashing, I consider my Jaxonized RTW Tenere well tested if that little cover is STILL the only wound she's ever come home with.

And by the way BigBob, give us a hint. :)

Snake - I propose TrikePilot show us another route to that rocky upslope, so wee can look for your little switch thingy.

BigBob - Looking forward to hearing about how your bike comes back to you.

Living in an outer DC 'bulb, we heard the crowd rolling out of the local Harley dealer to go to Rolling Thunder this morning and it took over a half hour for all of them to leave the one dealer. Curious to see how many Teneres went.

Shared this ride with Steve Curran. Thanks Steve.

Have ridden most of these roads MANY times and and never disappointed. Very good breakfast, perfect weather, excellent road conditions, so many highlights, friendship, delicious dinner. Steve (2013 Tenere) is an excellent rider and I always learn something every time we ride.

Had never ridden Newtown Rd and found it via GPS and an error in navigation. Not a tight twisty road though beautiful winding road with an excellent surface that will take you to Mosquito Road. Mosquito Rd and Rock Creek Rd are a hoot to ride and are very different to each other. Rock Creek is tight and twisty with speed if you would like. Mosquito Rd has VERY scary tight near the bridge. Mosquito Ridge Rd is everything you have read about it. Salmon Falls Rd is everything you would want. Scott Rd is fun fun fun and I ride it at least three times a week.

We would have ridden Worton's Georgetown to Worton's Foresthill, via French Meadows Reservoir https://goo.gl/maps/FP2uK6SGunQ2 but parts of 11 Pines Rd have been washed out have not been repaired.

If you are ever in this area do yourself a favor and ride this area.

Well this was two days ago but a buddy and I rode to Nopiming Provincial Park, Manitoba Canada. We then did the entire loop from Lac Du Bonnet through the park and back. This is close to 300 km of gravel roads, the road is a mix of loose crush stone and hard pack. Through the park itself, there are some nice narrow twisty roads that makes its way through forest, lakes and some small hills. Overall it was a great ride and gave us a chance to get feel for how these bikes do on other than blacktop. I have to say without a doubt, the S10 is a great bike. 500km total that day with over half on gravel. These bikes don't miss a beat and are comfortable as anything on the road. This was also on the stock tires and that proved to be ok. Still not sure if I should change over to the K60's for the big trip which is Winnipeg to Newfoundland via the Trans Labrador Highway in the end of July.

49 states in 10 days, then 3800 miles to home through Canada. Miles total 13227 in 14 days and a morning.

I saw amazing sights, and met some great people along the way. Plenty of stories.

I decided to head for home instead of finishing the Labrador and PEI loop for all Provinces as well. I found my front tire wearing faster than I expected and while I changed rear tire in Kamloops, the front should be newer for that Labrador part of the trip. Its all good, another adventure for another day!

Glad to be home.

Looking at your route, it makes me wonder what the shortest route is to hit all 49. Yours looks pretty efficient. That is a lot of miles in a short time! Congrats!

The shortest route is a bit under 8k miles. I think the record for 49 states is a bit under 6 days now. More fun taking more days. Congrats Cmoresky! ::012::
