I looked for a marker but didn't find one. I would guess 1930s or 40s. The trail originated in 1915. Much was built by a team of Apaches.I'm guessing that "bridge/water crossing" has got to be quite old.
Highly recommend you take some offroad training, it will radically improve your skills and confidence.Had the opportunity to drive down a roadway that was dirt in dry conditions or mud with standing water in wet, which is what I got to experience. I thought my perception of the conditions was s little amiss but came to the conclusions that 800# on two factory wheels makes for a pretty slick situation. Gravity is not to be mocked. I’ve watched videos of guys struggling with muddy conditions and now I understand why. This is my first heavy bike taken off road. It was uneventful but I had thoughts of if i go down where would be a good place to do it, and could I really pick the bike up!
Prior to this I drove off a curb and was glad for the ground clearance. The other bikes in the running prior to the ST were the goldwing or k1600, don’t think either would have faired as well.
Damn, that's one sneaky cop car....

There used to be "CA compliant" and the other 48 states. But I think that's gone away. Everything is 50 state compliant nowadays.. . . . Don’t you have different demands for California too? . . . .
