I hauled it home on a trailer from the dealership after having the valves checked in preparation for a Copper Canyon Mexico trip in five weeks. It’s still way too cold and icy to ride in North Dakota.
Wow! North Dakota to Copper Canyon! I've been wanting to ride down there myself but never seem to make it happen.
If you don't mind me asking, how long do you expect the trip to take?

I love LD riding and have no qualms about hopping on a bike to ride anywhere but the plan is to deliver a bike to a friend in Phoenix so the bikes will ride in my enclosed 4 place trailer that far. The first week in April is not guaranteed to be snow storm or ice free in ND and picking up a rider in the mountains of CO could be dicey for weather also.

Trip plan is to leave here April 7th to Spearfish SD to pick up a friend, his bike and the new GS for the Old FJR friend in Phoenix, April 8th we will haul to Alamosa CO to pick up rider #3 and his Tiger. April 9th we will unload in Phoenix to meet up with three more riders to complete our Copper Canyon group of 6, and then we will ride down to enter Mexico on the 10th for a 9 day loop down to Copper Canyon Mexico returning to Phoenix. Return trip will likely take three days also unless I decide to unload in Alamosa Colorado for a couple days of riding before returning to ND.

So the total trip will likely be from the 7th to the 22st - 24thish spending 9 leisurely days riding in Mexico with one day lounging around off the bikes.
