Camshaft, what is the 8th digit of your VIN. Trying to document where the Super Tenere's are and the numbering sequence of the VIN's.

Strange.... I think mine is #32..... my VIN ends with "000032".... delivered to my dealer on July 29th.

I got my VIN from Ruth at Yamaha Canada and it is #99. Very fitting considering I live in Brantford, the birthplace of Wayne Gretzky. lol

I just got my Vin number so I can get ins quotes. My bike was the 80th bike built for the states. I should take delivery of it on Friday as long as the shippers truck don't break down. What are you numbers and when did or are you taking delivery?

I just took delivery of my bike earlier today after waiting forever. I was number 8 here in Canada. Was it worth the wait? I only put 218KMs on it & my first impressions are Wow! Great! Wicked! Etc.. I've been riding for 32 plus yrs. & can honestly say this is my most comfortable & solid ride yet. For those of you who haven't received your bikes yet just hold on, you won't be disappointed I guarantee it.

We've been thinking on a theory that the CA VINs, the last numbers, will show duplicates in the rest of the 49 states. Let's see.

Looks like you are correct. Several months ago someone posted a pic on here of the VIN of one of the first USA bikes that was being used as a demo. It was JYADP03YCA000006. We have a 49 state bike that will be dlelivered tomorrow and it has an E in place of the second Y and it also ends in 000006. In the 8th digit, Y indicates a CA bike and E indicates a 49 state bike.

Edit: I think I have a -Y- and I have the -CA- and im 483 ordered Sep 2 2010.... I stood there when they typed it on the Yamaha PDP screen....
