Everything. Despite approaching decrepitude, it's comfortable, frugal and more that quick enough for me. I just get on it and ride it further and for longer that every other bike i've owned. ::001::

I can run it like a sport bike when I want and take it anywhere I please to go. ::025:: That is why I bought a new 2014 since I liked my 2012 so much.

When some one says "what in the hell is that" or "nice BMW".
First thing is Wow is that a BMW until they see the Wasp Yam stickers on the tank, then it's Wow when did Yamaha come out with that.
They really need to advertize on the tube or something this bike gets complements all the time, especially the blue one with the ladies!!. :p :-*

KNOWING I can head off from the back porch for a 6 mile run for milk, or a 6000 mile month long run in ANY direction. Makes no difference to this beast. After all, it IS the Biggest Dirt Bike In The World!

(what else did you think I would say?)

Oh the places you'll go. There is fun to be done. There are roads to be scored. There are trails to be won.
And the magical things you can do with that ST... will make you the winning-est winner by me.

You won't lag behind, because you'll have the speed. You'll pass the whole gang and you'll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you'll be best of the best. Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.

Turning the key on, hearing the little noise from the dash turning on and hitting the start button. Great bike and I haven't found a thing yet I'm disappointed in.

My 18 year old kid asked me once what it's like to ride my Super Tenere and I told him the riding position makes you feel like The King of The World when you're flying down the road. I later let him ride it and he got off the bike and said, "You're right, Dad, it does make you feel like King of The World!"

Oh, and before anyone scolds me for letting an 18 year old ride my bike, he's been riding dirt bikes since 6 and got his street license at 14 after passing the MSF course.

So far it does everything really well.

For instance I spanked some squid on a sportbike on the way to work through some twisty bits. Got to work, pulled my laptop and lunch out of the sidecase, stuffed all my gear into the side case.

I haven't even begun to do all the stuff I want to do with this bike.

And I like farkling it to. That makes me grin.

You know, if Yamaha Marketing was smart they would be following this thread looking for their next ad campaign

Agree 100%,

I always ask myself, if this same bike (S10) had a BMW badge on and was on BMW floor what the sales figures of this bike should look.

The S10 is a great bike, offroad and tarr, I had a good look and test rides before I bought my second S10 and to be honest, it maybe not as fast as the 1190 or the LC but it sure is the best allrounder that makes it the best problem free DS bike in my opinion.

I do alot of trips in South africa, Namibia, Swaziland and Mozambique witch involve difrent terain, from sand, rocky roads and all other aspects you can find of the tarr and on every trip the S10 just add more smiles on my face
