I was using 93 but have since dropped to 89. Seems to run good on the 89.

ECU unleashed Flash requires (or was programmed for) 90-95, so I stick with 93 for now...

"regular" unleaded, most of the time.

Only Premium so far, but at these prices, the Tenere's going to have to give up the good stuff for awhile. Maybe I'll drop to mid-grade for a bit and see how it likes itl

Premium as recommended. I'm not too sure on the merits of ethanol which is added to other grades.

89 also. I would include the recent story of the fella that rode his s10 along side his gs (with knock sensors) in a south american country with very bad fuel...the gs ran terrible and the s10 stayed cool and ran like a top... besides eveything else, seems you can feed it near anything.

Around here the difference between mid grade and premium is like $0.10 and $0.20 between regular and premium. Fortunately I'm not that hard up that I can afford to fill up with premium. I mean we're talking about maybe one dollar more for a tank of premium vs regular. Yeah I think she's worth it. YMMV.

Ive so far only used 98 octane, way i see it is ive paid good money for this bike so i let it drink the best i can buy regardless of the price.
I used to test fuels for a living and after seeing first hand the quaility and results in the lab I will only use BP ultimate if i can help it.

The little extra you pay for good fuel pays dividends in the long run with wear on your engine. Less carbon buildup.

Usually run 95 RON, 91 E10 occasionally, and I have never used 98 RON to date.

BUT the proviso on the 91RON is that I don't use it in really hot weather.

Did exactly the same with the Strom, which actually preferred 95RON.

I had my ECU Unleashed flashed for the 85-90 octane setting and am trying 89 for now. All seems good.

I have used premium when ever possible the reality is I tend to go off the beaten path and have filled up from what ever source available.

Once from an overhead tank at a native marina not sure what year the fuel was created but the only noticeable side effect was hunting at idle.

So go for the good stuff when its available and your wallet is creating an uncomfortable bump in your jeans.

If we listen to the fuel companies the differences are performance limiting.

Aside from a chemical engineer in the oil industry telling me that I will do irreparable damage to the engine by running 87RON.I will use it when its the only option every time.

I haven't noticed much of a difference but the ecu may be better at detecting the flavor of premium fuels.

Worry less ride more.
