Mine was a 1986 Yamaha Fazer. The photo is with my oldest daughter on it. She just turned 30 this year. Man I'm old and dumb for selling it. What a fun bike to ride and would eat any 750's lunch and a few others back then.

The classic japanese two-stokes - Yamaha TZ350D and F (but I liked the D better) and Suzuki RG 500 Gamma. Why? Because we won't see anything like them again. I still hold out hopes for clean two-strokes to make a comeback one day, but I'm not holding my breath!

2009 Buell 1125 CR. Bought during the fire sale. I sold it to help buy a boat. And now the boat is gone. Stupid move to ever get rid of the Buell. That bike was so much fun to ride and had gobs of torque.

1972 Yamaha DT2 250. Bought ($620) it in Okinawa when I was TDY. Sold ($500) it when I returned to Japan. A fun bike that let me see a lot of the island.

I miss my 2002 Gold Wing that I traded for the S10.

Don't get me wrong, I love the S10, but that Wing melted the miles away. A DR650 or a CRF250L would have been a good companion for the Wing.

Just thinking.

Like old girlfriends, I miss them all. Picking one, 2003 Harley Davidson VRSCA V-Rod. Perfect bar hopper. Tall Boy seat, drag bars, reduced reach foot pegs installed backwards for more stretch, stock exhaust with center baffles removed, screamin eagle air filter kit, power commander, chrome, chrome, chrome....I'm getting a little misty eyed.....

Great photo and it's parked next to my favorite aircraft. P-51 Mustang.

Yes and that P-51 is my old warbird buddy 'Ferocious Frankie' now that is a real quality machine. Finest Mustang that I've ever seen .... war provenance and rebuilt/refurbished from scratch ... every nut, bolt and rivet. 8)

The picture doesn't do either machine justice as it is a photograph of a photograph that I had enlarged into a 36" x 24" print. It hangs in my study.

Man, what a tough call ... I really (actually, unashamedly) had a blast on my KLR. I don't miss wobbling down the road, but it was do-it-all (but none of it terribly well) bike.

I do kinda miss my old water buffalo though. After I ported it and put the chambers on it was every bit as quick as a lot of the newer rockets ... it just didn't turn (kind of like trying to steer a waterbed). But it was style and a very unique sound.

That is a long list for me because I am not good at keeping anything except my wife (27 years) but here are my top four:

2010 BMW R1200 GS - I vowed to ride at least 1,000 miles a month when I bought it and when I couldn't for 3 months due to health issues I sold it.
1985 RZ350 - Toomey pipes and only 2,000 miles
1979 RD400 Daytona Special - Sold it to get the RZ
1986 BMW R1100RS - I think I enjoyed riding this more than most any bike I have had

I've had my share of bikes. 45, to be exact. My favorite is what I sold to get my Tenere and what I bought again when I sold my Tenere. FJR1300
