This morning I went to take the bike out of the garage; standing on the left of the bike I jolted the bike foward as usual to take it off the centre stand. Then I gently tiped it over to the left, where I was standing, to rest it on the side stand. Slowly down, slowly down, slowly down and then realised that it went too far down and the side stand was still up. It was heavy and a full petrol tank didn't help. I don't know how I mustered enough power to lift it up without an incident. Had it gone down the handle bars would have hit my son's new Honda Motard (still doing engine running in).

Now, a few hours later, I'm suffering from a pulled muscle. But that's a small price to pay for a fortunate outcome.

At least you are self healing (for most injuries). It's too bad they don't make self healing bikes!

I can lift mine up from a lay down on my own, only when I look around, and realise no one has noticed me yet. But if someone has seen me, I find it very hard. I put it down to adrenaline, released by the strong forces of embarrassment.
