It seems that I’m not that smooth shifting my 2012. I’d like to know if you have figured out how and have tips to share. Thanks in advance.
I'm the opposite. If I'm in a hurry, I use my clutch. I have to concentrate on shifting unless I use the clutch. In traffic, I just let my left and right hands do their thing while the brain watches out for the brainless.I only do it if riding quickly. No clutch, back off gear up.
This.If you are changing up and want a totally smooth change:-
Put your toe under the gear lever and apply slight upward pressure
Shut the throttle
Only pull the clutch in about a quarter
The gear lever will go up and then you let the clutch lever back out
fit a slipper clutch
