Weird Vibration While Slowing

I got my Super Tenere on Saturday, and naturally took it for a spin. I love all aspects of this motorcycle, but one issue I noticed was that while slowing down from about 25 to 15 mph, the bike makes some pretty noticeable vibrations from the rear wheel area. It is not dependent on the engine, because I feel the vibration if I pull in the clutch or even turn off the bike and coast. It makes this vibration with or without brake application. I do have Heidenau K60's on the bike.

Any thoughts?

It's the tire(s). What pressure are you running?

What gear are you in? Are you in too high of a gear for your speed? I've noticed some vibrations from the shaft drive when this happens.

If you bought the bike used there might be some cupping on the front or rear tire.. I have seen this a few times when people ride the tires for thousands of miles @ 20 PSI.... If you bought the bike, then pumped up the tires they will vibrate (if the last guy ran them at low pressure for a long time).. If both tires look good, I would bump that front up a few more pounds and go have fun :) The slow vibe is totally normal, Its a 'knob' ADV tire. ::008::

Everything is brand new. I will pump that tire up a bit. I had Heidenau tires on my KLR, and they never did that. But I can live with the rumble, because I really like these tires.

Is your bike new?
If not the reason may be loosen spokes too.
I got just same feelings on low speeds when I had loosen spokes.
I tightened the spokes and problem disappeared.

Edit: Sorry, the answer had come just before I sent the reply.

That vibration is my favorite!
It means my K60's are fresh. :)

And yes, it is VERY noticeable.

You got a new bike with new K60's? How you do that?

I bought the K60's ahead of time and had them installed for free by the dealer. He then gave me a $180 credit for the stock tires, which he kept, and which I did not want.

You are the MAN!

Rode an S10 off the lot with K60's.

Don't think anyone has done that yet. Maybe you spent too much time on here first?

I think you are a genius. :)

Not a genius, but I did spend a lot of time here. I also had a KLR 650 and put Heidenau's on it a few years ago, and really like them, so I knew what I wanted. As far as the tire credit, I have bought several bikes and lots of parts from the dealer over the years, so they are good to me.

I have a similar thing with mine except on acceleration, I don't have much experience with the S10 and its been a long time since I had shaft drive so not sure if it is tires, an S10 quirk or something else. Basically a vibration from the rear end when accelerating, New (100 miles) 2013 S10 with no Mitas E-07's, Ohlins shock, Akra slip on, TT top box - otherwise stock only noticeable when accelerating, at steady speed it doesn't do it. Tires?

Hmmm, "good to you". They got a set of tires from you for $180... If you had purchased those tire it would have been $134 front and $155 rear. Heck I'll be that "nice" to you any time!
I know... I know it's all in a deal. I think you did good just ribing ya!

When I had K60s on mine it used to feel like the final drive was knackered it made that much rumbling noises and vibes on the rear. It became magic carpet smooth when I swapped to A3s and some folks think they are vibey and noisey!

It's the tires.

Don't run K60s its worse than worse. But I still run them. You get used to the vibration.

The vibration was much worse slowing down for the first few thousand miles. I don't even notice it anymore.
Vibrations on the highway have gotten progressively worse, but I don't guess I notice it much either.
