Week of Memorial Day ride - White Rim, Moab UT

Hi - Does anybody want to join me on a trip to SW Colorado the week of Memorial Day? I'll be leaving from Austin, TX on Sat. 5/28 and will be coming back on 6/4. An alternative destination would be around Moab, UT. Never been there on a bike, so don't really have any hard plans. Of course I would love to ride some dirt roads, but nothing terribly difficult and dangerous. Let me know if that sounds tempting

UPDATE*** I'm going to follow the recommendation below and go with White Rim. Let me know if anybody would like to join in.

I wish I could but I cant this year. I've ridden up to Yellowstone the last two yrs and I left right after memorial day. Great time to go as the crowds were pretty much non existent and that long slog across west Tx isn't that bad since it isn't 110 yet. If you do go be ready for any weather. I got snowed on at the top of some pass in Colo last year and it was cold.

Go to Moab. I live in Colorado and it is 70/30 odds you will get rain and snow in freeze your ass off in the high country that weekend. If you are camping the odds increase to 90%. If yu were with me (I can't go) the odds increase to 100%. I gave up camping and doing things in the high country here years ago over Memorial Day weekend. Too dicey.

In Moab do the White Rim road (jeep road) in Canyonlands. you will not regret it.

Enjoy. Pics from when I did it in a day on my MTB. Fantastic riding. Lots of crazy switchbacks but 100% doable on a S10 easy peasy. 110 miles.
